In a place where history was made, in the very heart of Brno, you will discover exceptional food and perfectly poured beer. Our brewery was founded in 1325 beside a Cistercian monastery, and it was here, quite literally within sight, that Johann Gregor Mendel laid the foundations of modern genetics.
With friends, family, or for business
With 286 seats indoors, including a separate beer hall, there are plenty of opportunities to find a quiet corner, reserve a private section, or even hire the entire restaurant and garden. Our outdoor seating area accommodates up to 400 guests, while exclusive use of the whole venue allows events for as many as 600 people.
Thanks to our versatile facilities, we can host everything from private celebrations and corporate events to conferences, weddings, and banquets.
Traditional recipes and a selection of Starobrno beers
Our menu is built around beloved Czech classics such as schnitzels, ribs, svíčková (marinated beef sirloin in a creamy vegetable sauce), and goulash. It is complemented by burgers, steaks, and beer-inspired desserts, including our popular beeramisu. We also offer a daily menu with vegetarian options.
On tap, you will find four varieties of Starobrno beer, including our 12°, 11°, and dark lager, alongside selected beers from the Heineken and Krušovice range.
